Council advisory committees are groups of residents and councillors appointed by Town Council to provide specialized advice on various community issues. These committees offer recommendations and insights to Council, helping shape policies, projects, and decisions that impact the Town of Lunenburg. They serve as a vital link between the council and the community, ensuring that local perspectives and expertise are considered in the decision-making process.
Council’s current advisory committees are:
- Planning Advisory Committee (PAC)
- Heritage Advisory Committee (HAC)
- Audit Committee
Find out more about each committee or read committee minutes and agendas here: Committee Meetings
Each year, typically at a Council meeting in October, Mayor and Council are appointed to several regional committees and boards. We will be seeking new members in 2024.
