As we prepare for the 2026 Fishers’ Memorial Service, we invitefamilies, friends, organizations, and members of our community to help us honour those whose lives were lost at sea.

The 2026 Roll of Honour will include the names of those whose lives were lost in years ending in “6.” This annual tradition ensures that we continue to remember and honour the fishermen and mariners whose lives were lost.

The placing of wreaths at the Fishermens’ Memorial is a long-standing tradition and an important part of the Memorial Service. We encourage those who wish to honour a loved one to consider placing a wreath at the monument.

Local florists are prepared to receive wreath orders and can arrange for delivery to the Fishermen’s Memorial on your behalf - or you can reach out to the Town for assitance. You may also make your own arrangements to have a wreath in place by noon on Sunday, September 13.

The names of those who have contributed wreaths, along with the names of those being honoured, will be read during the Memorial Service.
