Council meets next as Committee of the Whole on Tuesday, April 7 at 5 p.m.
The agenda package is now available: pdf 04 07 2026 Committee of the Whole Agenda (Student Presentations)(315 KB)
This meeting will be a little different than a typical Council or Committee of the Whole meeting.
Council will be hosting presentations from students in the Dalhousie University School of Planning as part of an educational exercise.
The students have been working on course projects and have been invited to present their work in a Council setting to gain real-world experience presenting in a formal municipal environment. This is an opportunity for them to practice their skills and build confidence as they prepare for future careers in planning and related fields.
This session is for educational purposes only. The presentations are student work and are not proposals before Council. They do not reflect Town policy, direction, or decision-making, and no decisions or debate will take place.
Council may ask questions to support the learning experience, but the focus of the meeting is on providing students with a chance to present in a real-world setting.
We are pleased to support this opportunity and appreciate the work the students have put into their projects.
Residents are welcome to attend and observe. Please use the accessible back entrance at 120 Townsend Street.
Meetings are also livestreamed through Zoom. To livestream this meeting starting at 5 pm, use this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81475382430
