UPDATE - PUBLIC WORKS NOTICE - PELHAM STREET CONSTRUCTION

Please note construction on Pelham Street between King Street and Prince Street is now scheduled to begin on Monday, October 27.

The project - part of the Town’s Capital Budget - is intended to bring sewer and storm upgrades and improve the condition of the road on Pelham Street. The Project schedule is expected to run from October 27 until the end of November, so there will be approximately 5-6 weeks of disruption.

For safety reasons, it is expected that the Contractor shall utilize detours for road users around the work zone. Sidewalks shall remain open for access to and from homes and businesses.

The Town of Lunenburg regrets any inconvenience caused to residents and businesses as this important upgrade takes place. If issues arise as the work progresses, please do not hesitate to reach out and contact the Town at (902) 634-4410.

Mutual Aid Parade - October 8

🚒🧑‍🚒🚨 It’s Fire Prevention Week and one of the highlights is the annual Mutual Aid Parade happening Wednesday evening!

The parade starts at the Lunenburg Community Center at 7pm - and remember to drop by the fire station on Thursday evening beginning at 6:30pm for an Open House!

POWER OUTAGE NOTICE

The Town has been notified about a power outage in and around the Green Street/Dufferin Street/Duff Street/Harbour View Drive area.

NSP crews have been alerted and will be onsite shortly to investigate the cause of the outage.

More details will be provided as available.

Montague Street Closure - October 7

Montague Street will be closed on Tuesday, October 7th between the Bluenose Drive/Linden Avenue/Lower Street intersection and Cornwallis Street.

The closure is required for water and sewer work in the area, and will take place between approximately 7:30am - 5:00pm.
