Let’s talk about BOONDOCKING…

Lunenburg loves visitors and every summer, we look forward to hosting our travelling friends in their campers and RVs, and we encourage them to explore and take in all of the great sights and experiences our town has to offer.

While visiting, we would like to remind visitors that camping in public places in town is prohibited under 4.2(c) of the Public Places By-Law, as it can lead to congestion and impair sightlines for motorists and emergency vehicles. You may have even noticed some of the new signs the Town has put up to help as a reminder.

So, sadly, no boondocking. Lots of other funs things to do while in Lunenburg, we just ask that you make proper plans should you decide to stay overnight.

We have a marvellous campground in town at the Lunenburg RV Park & Campground on historic Blockhouse Hill, as well as the Little Lake Family Campground and the LaHave River Campground – both a short drive from town.
