Town of Lunenburg staff will hold a Public Participation Meeting to gather input on a proposed rezoning of the area known as ‘Salt Meadows’, which includes all properties within the Town’s boundaries on Wood Street, Whynacht Street and Adams Street, and includes parts of Wolff Avenue and PID 60731452 on Rudolf Drive. The proposed use rezoning for the area is from Medium Density Residential (RM) to Lower Density Residential (RL). Medium Density Residential zoning is intended to enable residential uses, such as dwellings with up to four units and accessory dwellings. Lower Density Residential zoning is intended to prioritize residential uses, such as dwellings with up to two units and accessory dwellings.

What is a Public Participation Meeting?
A Public Participation Meeting (PPM) is a chance for residents to learn about and give feedback on proposed planning changes before any decisions are made by Council. These meetings are less formal than a public hearing and are designed to gather ideas, concerns, and perspectives early in the process. The comments shared help staff and Council better understand community views and can shape how proposals move forward.
