The Town of Lunenburg has hired Paul Nopper as their new permanent Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
A native of Merrickvlle, Ontario, Paul has worked in municipal government for the past 13 years - first in Ontario and for the past five-and-a-half years with the Town of Saint Andrews, where he served as its Clerk-Deputy CAO. During that time, he has been involved in downtown revitalizations, economic and community development, recreation, tourism, planning, grant development, administration, and asset management.
A graduate of Trent University, Paul holds an Honours Science degree in Biology and Geography with a focus on population dynamics, planning, economic and community development. In addition to his BSc (Hons), Paul has Certification as a Municipal Officer through the University of Moncton, Advanced Level Municipal Officer designation through the Association of Municipal Administrators of New Brunswick, certified Asset Manager through NAMS Canada, and training in Emergency Management through the Province of New Brunswick.
“My family and I are excited to make the move to the great and historic Town of Lunenburg,” said Paul Nopper. “I am excited to be part of the great team and Council that the Town of Lunenburg has, and looking forward to being a key leader, mentor, and partner with Council on ensuring we are providing the best quality services possible to the residents and visitors to Lunenburg.”

We’re looking forward to having him join the team at Town Hall.”
Paul and his spouse Samantha will be relocating to Lunenburg towards the end of July/early August.
